Mature Preneurs Talk with Diana Todd-Banks

Sep 2, 2018

Karen Ely is a nationally recognized women’s retreat facilitator, inspirational speaker and author who has facilitated hundreds of personal growth programs for thousands of women in the United States, Canada, South America, Africa and Europe. Like everyone, there’s always an inspiring ‘back story’ and for Karen her personal journey has been from suburban housewife and mother to business owner, and her commitment to issues affecting women led her through a vibrant 30-year career in non-profit management some of which included domestic violence to sexual assault and drug prevention to welfare-to-work. But Karen’s story jettisoned forward at 40-years young, as she became an author and retreat facilitator, and in 2003 became founder of the Sedona Women’s Institute, in Sedona, Arizona. The mission was and still is that of providing guidance, tools and support for women seeking authentic lives of peace and meaning. Her retreats, mentoring, workshops, tele-workshops, books, newsletters and social media posts have touched tens of thousands of women all over the world as her work gives guidance and hope to women searching for a safe place to stand. Karen is now the author of five books: Daring to Dream: Reflections on the Year I Found Myself (2006), A Retreat of My Own (2008), Breathing Space: Mini-Retreats for the Heart & Soul (2011), 21 Days of Gratitude (2014), and 21 Stepping Stones to a Peaceful, More Meaningful Life (2014). Karen has assisted thousands of women through difficult life transitions and continues to do so today. This is a profound conversation and throughout Karen provides wonderful wisdom - you can learn more about Karen and the Sedona Women’s Institute at the website: sedonawomensinstitute.com
